PHP Developer

Job Summary

Salary: £30,000 per year

Job Type: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

To be clear, we have no association with Soft Cell or Marilyn Manson, we’re just really bad at naming things. Luckily, we excel at delivering top end design, development and support to a wide variety of incredible international clients.

We need a PHP developer to join our team in Leeds. You will be working on developing the frontend and backend of Magento 1 and Magento 2 stores, Wordpress websites and other PHP based applications so experience of these would be preferable.

Duties will include:

Developing new Magento 2 themes from scratch from in-house designs (no shady, bought-in templates) and creating extensions / customising backend functionality to suit business needs.
Maintaining, patching and updating Magento 1 stores.
Transitioning Magento 1 stores to Magento 2.
Working directly with clients to understand and deliver their requirements.

There will also be the opportunity to be involved in our other projects from CMS websites to the various pieces of bespoke software we have developed for other businesses.

You will need:

• Excellent written and spoken English skills
• Excellent mathematical skills
• Education to degree level in a related subject or equivalent practical experience

Knowledge of the related technologies and languages including:

• PHP
• JavaScript
• HTML
• CSS
• Grunt and/or Gulp
• Less

Beneficial, although not required would be experience with:

• Magento 1 and 2
• NodeJS and Express
• MongoDB
• Laravel
• Any of the bazillion frontend JavaScript frameworks
